SENIOR CONFERENCE. During the Easter vacation the biennial senior conterence of the Y.W.C.A. is being held at Waikanae. The delegates are conveniently housed, Mrs Fitch, of the National Executive, being the conference hostess. Delegates are present from the following places :—Wellington : Misses L. Miss J. Stevenson, national general socrelary, gave the opening address, and spoke on the Y.W.C.A. as expressing the Christian side of the women's movement through the past 80 years. Family prayers take place immediately after breakfast each day. Tho technical hour proved an interesting session. At the first of these a talk on "Training for Group Experience" was given by iMiss E. Bennett, general secretary, Auckland, and at the second Miss 1). Brodie, late of London Central Club, described the methods of the Y.W.C.A. m Great Britain and Egypt. ltev. O. E. Burton, the special speaker for the conference, spoke on " 'Society as a Creative factor in the Lite of Our i'ime," this address being divided into two sessions, lUiday evening and Saturday morning. Each afternoon a recreation period ia spent in tennis or tramping.
