WEDDING.

HUDSON—BISHOr. The Feilding Baptist Church was the scene of a pretty wedding on Saturday, when Lavena, fourth, daughter of Mr and Mrs J. F. Bishop, Gladstone Street, Feilding, was married to George William, only son of Mr and Mrs H. W. Hudson, Auckland. Tasteful floral decorations enhanced the interior of the church and the ceremony was conducted by Rev. H. W. Page, Mrs H. Bowater being at the organ. Given in marriage by her brother-in-law, Mr A. Hume, of Auckland, the bride wore a frock of ivory satin with j shirred cowl neck and bell sieves shirred at the shoulders. The skirt was I fitting to the knees, flaring from there to form a train, and the sash worn was tied in a bow at the back. The bride's veil of ivory embroidered tuile was held in place by a wreath of orange blossom and her shower bouquei was of pink belladonna lilies and other beautiful pink and white blooms, tied with pink satin ribbon. Misses Daphne and Ruth Bishop,accompanied their sister as bridesmaids, wearing graceful frocks of lido blue marocain with shirred necks that were arranged as a cowl and shirred and puffed elbow-length sleeves. Their full skirts were shirred in front to correspond and long sashes gave the finish nig touch. A bandea.u of silver ribbon orma.neted with blue velvet flowers, silver mittens, shoes to match and a crystal necklet (gift of the bridegroom) was worn by each maid, who carried a bouquet of pink' and blue flowers with streamers of pink ribbon. Little Fay, Sandbrook, mece of the bride, made a sweet flower girl frocked in shell pink taffeta that fell to her ankles. The yoke of her frock was shirred and the sleeves were softly puffed, while bows of silver ribbon were arranged at intervals round her full skirt. A wreath of silver leaves bedecked her fair curls and she wore the silver armlet given her by the bridegroom, and carried a pretty posy of pink flowers. Mr Archie Gibson was best man, the groomsman being Mi j Eric Harris, of Palmerston North. The reception th.it followed wei.held at "W.D.F.U. rooms, which were festively arranged with, flowers and blue and pink streamers. Mrs Bishop received the guests in a frock of navy floral marocain with swagger coat and hat to match and carried"scarlet dahlias and lilies. Mrs Hudson, mother of the bridegroom., wore black and white figured marocain, a coat and hat on suite and carried flowers and leaves in autumn tints. , ' . ' The prettv wedding cake was madi by the bride's sister, Mrs„J. Pitman. A tunic frock of wine maroca.in with touches of silver, was worn by tlit bride when travelling south on hei honeymoon trip, and her smart hat oi oyster peach bloom was finished with a feather mount.
