RUGBY ITINERARY.

PROTEST AT TIMARU. Per Press Association. TIMARU, April 6. Considerable indignation was expressed by the ' South Canterbury Rugby Union, to-night, when it was pointed out that the itinerary of the New South Wales team to tour the. Dominion this season did’not provide foragnmeatTim.-M-u, but that the only game allotted to a South Island minor union w*is against North Otago. It was suggested that a strong protest be sent to the New Zealand Union, drawing attention to the fact that the standard of Rugby in South Canterbury was exceptionally rigli last season, and that the South Canterbury Union were under a financial obligation to the Dominion body. It was decided to enter a protest against the preference shown the North Otago Union.
