DAVIS CUP CONTEST.

THE CHINESE TEAM. Received April 6, 1.35 p.m. LONDON, April 5. The Daily Mail says that Gordon Lum, a Christian Chinese, born in Australia and now of Shanghai, is included in the team with which China is making her first essay this year in the Davis Cup competition, when she will meet France in the first round. The others are W. Choy, of Hong Kong, formerly of Cambridge University; G. Cheng, of Shanghaiand S. Kho, from Java.. All speak different forms of Chinese and are only able to understand each other in English. FRENCH PREPARATIONS. * Received April 6, 1.35 p.m. , PARIS, April 5. The French ,Tennis Federation has chosen Borotra, Marcel,"Bernard, Boussus, Brugnon, Destremeau, Legacy and Lesueur to train for tho Davis Cup contest.
