BROADCAST SPEECH.
Mr DE VALERA’S EXPERIENCE. (Times Cables.) LONDON. March 17. The Dublin correspondent of the Times says that Mr De Valera’s broadcast on St. Patrick’s Day was almost inaudible owing to interruptions from a private high-powered radio station, consisting of a voice denouncing militarism, which apparently had reference to the Free State Army’s march past in College Green, and a noise resembling atmospherics. Simultaneously a car belonging to Mr. De Valera’s escort outside the studio inexplicably caught fire.
