KOPANE WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

,A most enjoyable afternoon was spent by the members of the Ivopane "Women’s Institute and friends at Mrs Salt’s house on March 11, although the weather prevented a picnic being held as arranged. Mrs Divehall. Mrs Salt and Misses Hanoox, Humphries and Sa>t entertained those present with pianoforte, vocal and elocutionary items which were much appreciated. Several amusing competitions were held, the winners being: Mrs Salt, clothes pegs; Mrs Larkin, nail-driving; Sirs Glasgow, jumbled names; Miss Jean Gould, treasure hunt. The annual meeting, it was stated, is to be held at Mrs Glasgow’s house on March 23.
