STRIKING TRIBUTE,

Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, March 17. An impressive tribute was paid to the late Sir Francis Bell by a large gathering in the Supreme Court today. Mr L. K. Munro, president of the Auckland Law Society, said he could truly be described as the “grand old man of the Net* Zealand Bar.” Sir Francis had added thoroughness to unremitting industry, and his memory would be treasured with deep respect, admiration, and affection. SYMPATHY FROM HOME. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 17. A cablegram offering sincere condolence to the New Zealand branch of the Empire Parliamentary Association and to the relatives in the loss of the late Sir Francis Bell was received today from the United Kingdom branch by "Mr C. M. Bothamley, Clerk V "the Legislative Council, and honorary secretary of the New Zealand branch.
