SPEED RESTRICTIONS.
AIAGISTRATE’S SUGGESTION. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Alarcli 17. A new penalty in cases of dangerous driving and. travelling at excessive speed was suggested by, Air E. D. Alosley, S.AI., when hearing bylaw cases to-day. He said that he had been hoping that power would be given to the Court to order the sealing down of cars so that they could not exceed a given speed. It would be an excellent wav ot punishing speeding motorists if they could he ordered not to exceed 25 miles an hour over a definite period, and provision could be made to this end by sealing down their cars.
