BIG INCREASE StjOWN. WOOL IMPORTS RISE. FEBRUARY FIGURES. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received March 17, 11.10 a.m. LONDON, March 16. The Board of Trade returns for February show that imports totalled £62,316,000, exports £35,110,000, and re-exports £5,650,000. Tho principal increases as compared with Fobruary last year are: — Imports..—Grain and flour, £469,000; dairy produce, £749,000; raw cotton, £605,000; wool, £1,353,000; hides and skins, £412,000; non-ferrous metals and manufactures, £583,000. Exports.—Machlnery, £365,000. Decreases in imports were;—Tobacco, £330,000; rubber, £501,000. Exports of wool decreased by £200,000. OFFICIAL STATEMENT. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, March 15. Board of Trade returns of overseas trade in February show that British exports totalled £35,110,573 as compared with £34.459,583 the month before and £34,097,500 in February, 1935. Imports amounted to £62.316,952, compared with £70.023.783 the month before and £56,431,355 in February, 1935. The corresponding figures for re-exports were £5,650,528, £4,320,094, and £4,408,341 respectively.
