Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 10. An opium lamp made from an eggcup, a cut-down beer bottle set in a salad bowl, and a quantity of opium in tins formed the police exhibits in Court this morning following a raid on a Chinese fruit shop on Saturday afternoon. Wang Kow, the occupier of the shop, was fined £75 for allowing his premises in Ferry Road to be used tor smoking opium. Ban Dan, a market gardener, was fined £l2 IQs for smoking opium, and £3O for being in possession of prepared opium; Lee Loke, a market gardenef, was fined £l2 10s for being found on premises used for smoking opium, and £3O for being in possession of prepared opium ; Ching King was fined £l2 10s for being found on premises used for smoking opium.
