PREMISES BROKEN INTO. (From Our Own Correspondent.) WOODVILLE, Feb. 10. During lasi night, the Napier Read service station o.f Keith I fill ! nay’s. Ltd., was broken into, an entry being gained hy smashing a pane in a window and releasing the catch. The matter was discovered at 8 a.tn. to-day. when one of Mr llannay’.s employees (Mr D. Walker) opened the station. As far as is known, nothing was stolen. The till was forced, hut the burglar or burglars met with no success, as it is Mr Hannay’s practice never to leave money in the building overnight. The police arc making inquiries. MOUNTED RIFLES’ CAMP. Twenty members of the Woodvillc Mounted Rifles were encamped on Woodlands Road over the week-end. under the charge of Lieutenant C. 4. Bishop.. Ihe camp was held primarily for I lotcl i k i.ss gun training, but rifle grenade work and distance judging were also carried out, 8.-S.-M. Rogers, of Masterton, being in charge. PERSONAL. Among the visitors at the A. and P. Show on Friday were Sir Clutha Mackenzie, Mr Jos. Batchelor (president) and Mr If. E. Kissfing (secretary) of the Manawatu A. and P. Association. Mr F. E. Ward (president), Mr J. A. Walsh (secretary) of the Pahiatua A. and P. Association, and Air R. D. Knight, an old member of the Woodvillc Association. .Misses A. and Iv.
