During a fit of laughter at a film at Tipperary Town Hall, Patrick lloche, aged 18, swallowed a two-inch-long horse-nail which he had been using as a toothpick. He continued to enjoy the entertainment to the end, but at its conclusion he consulted a doctor. Pending X-ray examination he was up and about as usual, apparently none the worse for his mishap.
