AUCKLAND, Jan. 21. The party 6T New Zealand schoolteachers, numbering 145, returned by the Niagara from a visit to Fiji. Mr G. R. Ashbridge ,the secretary of the New Zealand Educational Institute, said that at least fifty, more had desired to go, hut it was . impossible to accommodate them. The experiment was highly successful and he imped it would he repeated in future years. Perhaps two years hence it would he possible to arrange a round trip of Australia. All had been greatly impressed by the hospitality in’Fiji, visits being arranged to native villages and neighbouring islands. An impressive garden party at Government House was the outstanding feature. The native schools were excellent in the . matter of handwriting and precision of speech.
