BRITISH ISRAEL.

An audience which completely filled the Empire Hall gathered last evening to hear the lecture entitled “Is Britain Israel?” For nearly two hours the lecturer (Rev. J. S. Pate) held his audience in rapt attention as he conclusively proved the truth of the British-lsrael position. Previous to the lecture every word of the correspondence in connection with the proposed debate was read and the large audience signified its approval of the lecturer’s efforts to bring about a debate with his opponent. The challenge to a debate stands accepted. Two or three questions were answered with satisfaction and a hearty vote of thanks was accorded to the lecturer for his most interesting, instructive and scholarly lecture.—Contributed.
