ST. VINCENT HE PAUL SOCIETY
CONCERT IN ST. PATRICK’S HALL
A concert organised by Miss Cranston, on behalf of the St. Vincent de Paul Society’s stall at the forthcoming Convent garden party, was held in St. Patrick’s Hall last evening. The function proved most successful and was greatly appreciated by the large attendance. Mr Hubbard carried out the duties of stage manager. Items were contributed as follow : —Songs : Mesdames E. McDonald and L. Smith, Miss Plickey and the Convent pupils; Messrs C. Cronin, W. G. Tabor, Shortall, Warne and H. Burke; humorous items, Mr L. Smith; recitations, Misses M. Luoni and P. Kneebone; tap dancing and jigs, Misses June Scott. N. Cronin, D. Adsett and P. Forlong; duet, Mr and Mrs Smith. The acconipanistes were Mesdames McDonald and McNeilly and Misses Z. Leamy and T. Rodden. At the conclusion of the concert the Very Rev. Monsignor MacManus, on behalf of the Sisters of Mercy and the gt. Vincent de Paul Society, thanked the performers and all who had helped to make the concert a success.
