INFANT PRINCE.
CHRISTENING PERFORMED. Received November 21, 10 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 20. Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret' Rose were proud spectators at the christening of Prince Edward, who wore the robes in which the late Queen Victoria was baptised. The chapel was decorated with white roses, marguerites, lilac, and heather. Crowds waited outside the Palace. FIVE NAMES BESTOWED. (British Official Wireless.) Received Novemebr 21, 11.40 a.m. RUGBY, Nov. 20. The christening of the son of the Duke and Duchess, of Kent took place in the private chapel at Buckingham Palace this afternoon. 'The infant Prince was named Edward George Nicholas Paul Patrick. The Archbishop of Canterbury performed the baptismal rites. . The child was sponsored by seven godparents, including the King and Queen. At the end of the ceremony Their Majesties and the other members of the Royal Family, together with the Homo Secretary—the only representative of the Government present—signed the Royal register of births and marriages. Earlier in the day the names of the mfant Prince were inscribed in the City of Westminster Register, which was signed by the Duke of Kent.
