TOKOMARU

(From Our Own Correspondent.) TOKOMAItU, Nov. 16. The Tokomaru Mothers’ Union held their monthly meeting in the St. Aidan’s Church. Owing to sickness there was a poor attendance. Afternoon tea was served by the members. Mrs R. Atkinson has returned home after being an inmate of the l’almerston North Hospital. Mr H. Ennis, of the Post and Telegraph Department, Wellington, is visiting his parents, Mr and Mrs 1.. Ennis. Mr and Mrs W. Webb, of Waikanae, were visitors to Tokomaru during the week-end. A "working-bee” of members of the Tennis Club is making good progress on the new court. It is hoped to able to play on it in about throe weeks’ time. Miss J Rankin is leaving shortly for Auckland.
