PAHIATUA.
PAHIATUA, Nov. 19.
The quarterly meeting of Loyal Mangatainoka Lodge, M.U., 1.0.0. F., was held last night, N.G. Bro. H. A. Gardner presiding. Accounts totalling £ll7 10s lid were passed for payment. Three candidates for membership were initiated into the Order and were accorded lodge honours. A candidate was nominated for membership. Correspondence was read and received from Loyal Combination Lodge, Johnsonville, in connection with its Christinas social, and from the District Hospital Association regarding a special meeting to be held shortly. The election of officers resulted:—N.G., Sis. Z. Levy; V.G., Bro. I. Algie; E.S., Sis. Harris; L.M., P.G. Bro. Yewen; auditor, P.G. Bro. A. E. South; delegates to friendly societies’ picnic committee, P.G. Bro. South and Bro. I. Algie. The installation of officers was conducted by L.M. Bro. S. Matthews, and the offioerselect,\ who were accorded lodge honours, suitably returned thanks. The retiring 1.P.N.G., Bro. K. Prycle, was proposed as a candidate for the purple degree. It was resolved that his name be inscribed on the merit board and that he he presented with a Past Grand’s emblem. N.G. Sis. Levy then presented the emblem to Bro. Pryde, who suitably responded. Refreshments were provided at the conclusion of the meeting.
