HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. The Department of Agriculture has received tho following cablegram, dated November 16, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London:— Tallow.—Spot market quiet with prices nominally unchanged. Hemp.—Manila market steadier. “K” grade for November-January shipment quoted buyers at £24. Stocks in United Kingdom at November 1, 11,247 bales against 28,186 bales at the same time last year. Sisal market steady and firmer at the close. November-January shipment quoted at £27; January-March shipment sold at from £27 2s 6d to £27 ss. Now Zealand market continues quiet; small business has been done. Common grade, £lB 10s. Nominal value on the basis of highpoints is £23. Stocks in London at November 1, 28 tons against six tons at the same time last year. Eggs.—English national pack, 18s 6d to 245; ordinary pack. 20s to 21s. Danish, 13s 6d to 17s 9d. Australian markets weak, 10s 6d to 12s 3d. New Zealand : Rangitane and Now Zealand Star shipments, 141 b to 171 b per long hundred, 10s 6d to 12s 6d.
