QUARTER-FINAL PLAY. MISS KAY BEATS MISS BARTON. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Oct. 22. In the women’s golf championship the quarter-finals resulted : Miss Made beat Mrs Greenlees, 3 and 2. Miss Anderson beat Miss Helean 4 and 2. Mrs "Walker beat Miss Fleming 5 and 3. Miss 0. Kay beat Miss P. Barton, at the 20th. Misses Wade and Anderson (both of Britain) and Mrs Walker (Britain) and Miss Kay (New Zealand) will meet to-morrow morriing in the semi-finals over 18 holes..
BRILLIANT PLAY
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Oct. 21. A brilliant round of 72, oiie under bogey, was. played by Miss J. Anderson (Britain) this afternoon in the Ladies’ Golf Union challenge bowl at the Dominion tournament. The chief scores were:—Miss J. Anderson, 72 scr.—72; Mrs Treadwell, 85—13—72.
