DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED

MASTERTON, Oct. 1. Arrested last night following a collision in Renall Street between a car driven by Arthur Lester Morgan, a stock agent, and P. Fagan, a garage proprietor, Morgan was charged in the Court this morning before Justices of the Peace with having been in a state of intoxication while in charge of a car. The Bench imposed a fine of £ls and suspended liis license for six months. The Bench said that growing public opinion was that intoxicated motorists should'be sent to gaol. -
