SEPTEMBER MEDAL MATCH. The September medal match of the Feilding Golf Club was played on Saturday afternoon in conjunction with the contest among ex-service members of the club for the Waimana Cup. Honours for the day went to Dr G. Phillips, who not only came home with the best card in the B grade medal game but defeated J. S. Tingey in the second round of the junior championship. In addition, Dr Philips, who took part in the Waimana Cup game by reason of his South African service, annexed this trophy, the whole performance gaining him a reduced handicap. The A grade medal match was won by R. H. Farquharson with a net 72. The following are the details: — A grade.—R. H. Earquharson, 81— 9—72; W. Seifert, 83—10—73; J. G. Connell, 83—9—74; G. M. Moffitt, 83— 9—74; P. G. Miles, 90—16—74; L. M. Giesen, 83—8—75; P. Fawcett, 89—12 —77; S. A. Gover, 87—8—79. B grade.—G. Phillips, 93—27—66; J. C. Hill, 90—22—68; G. Loney, 98—27 —7l; P. Pearson, 91—20—71; K. M. Little, 98—27—71. Playing in the senior championship J. B. Dutliie defeated Father Hegarty and E. M. Hare defeated L. Gorton.

In the latter game play was taken to the 20th green. Next Wednesday the Kimbolton Golf Club will pay a return visit to Feilding, while on the following week-end Feilding will engage Marion at Marton.
