SANDON-HIMATANGI HIGHWAY.
SEALING WORK TO PROCEED. (From Our Own Correspondent.) SANDON, Sept. 25. On Tuesday a special meeting of the Manawatu County Council was held to meet representatives of the Mam Highways Board to discuss and consider matters relative to the completion of the surfacing of the Sandon-Himatangi Road. tne board’s representatives were Messrs M. W. Wynynrd and W. Morrison and Albertson (engineer to board). Messrs H. H. Sharp (district engineer), and A R. Acheson president engineer), of the Public Yorks Department, were also present. Although the proceedings were not. open to the Press, the county chairman (Cr Y. F Barber) intimated that a satisfactory basis of agreement had been arrived at and that the work would be gone on with without delay.
