Mako (United States) 7-9, 6-1, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3. T „ In the mixed doubles. J. Brugnon (France) and Miss Lyle (Britain) beat R. Menzel (Czechoslovakia) and Miss Babcock (U.S.A.), 9-7, 6-0, in a semifinal match. Menzel lost interest in the second set and volleyed softly to Brugnon and netted to Miss Lyle. In the final Budge and Mrs V an llyn(United States) beat Brugnon and Miss Lyle 6-4, 8-6. , , „ The final of the women s doubles resulted in a wiif for Mrs Van llyn and Miss Josephine Cm:-'kshank (United States), who beat Miss Babcock and Mrs Esther Bartosh (United States) 6-0, 2-6, 12-10. ■
