AIcCREADY BEATS CATALINO. Per Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH. Sept. 22. Earl AlcCready beat Tony Catalino by one fall in the eighth round before a good house last night. The bout provided good entertainment, but it seemed all through that AlcCready was the better man and could have gained a fall earlier. The fall was secured with a flying body scissors.

A DRAAA'N BOUT. WALKER AND DUALA. Per Press Association. AVELLINGTON, Sept. 22. Aluch showmanship marked the wrestling bout on Saturday night between George Walker and “Tiger” Duala, both of whom in the fifth round fell over the ropes and hit the floor with sufficient force to keep them out of action till the referee announced a draw. Prior to that AValker gained a fall with a Boston crab and had submitted to one of Duala’s novel toelocks.

DUALA CFIALLENGES AIcCREADY

WELLINGTON, Sept. 23. A challenge to Earl AlcCready’s wrestling supremacy has been issued by the Indian, “Tigei” Duala, a recent arrival, who wrestled bis first match against George Walker in Wellington on Saturday night. Following bis bout with Walker, Duala, through his interpreter, Kalian Singh, lodged a cheque for £SO as a challenge to AlcCready.

MELEE AT SYDNEY. LURICH-KRUSKAAIP BOUT. SYDNEY. Sept. 22. At the Leichhardt Stadium antics became even more lively than usual at the conclusion last night of a return bout between Tom Lurich ,and Hardy Kruskamp. Prior to the fifth round each had gained a fall. Lurich then set about twisting Kruskamp’s head across the middle rope, whereupon Kruskamp’s compatriot wrestler, Johnnie Woods, sprang from the ringside and attacked Lurich.

AVoods. Lurich, Kruskamp, the referee and seconds promptly became engaged in a wild melee in which AVoods, in his excitement, struck Kruskamp, who fell to the floor. AA 7 oods was then hustled . out of the ring and, within a moment, Lurich had obtained the deciding fall. Lurich and Kruskamp again came to blows. Eventually they were escorted by the police to their dressing rooms.
