DRAMATIC DEATH.

IN BRISBANE OFFICE. Received September 14, 1.15 p.m. BRISBANE, Sept. 14. Stewart Lyle Stormonth, aged 47, clerk of petty sessions, died in sensational circumstances in the office of the Under-Secretary of the Department of Justice. Stormonth handed the Undersecretary (Mr G. A. Carter) a letter applying tor long service leave and then drew a revolver and fired two shots into his left breast. Stormonth died before the ambulance arrived. Deceased had a fine war record. He was captured at Suvla Bay and was for three years a prisoner with the Turks.
