TADGHAM BEATS ALLISS. Received September 14, 1.20 p.m. LONDON, Sept. 13. Pad glia m defeated Alliss 3 up and 2 to play in the final of the News of the World golf tournament. Alliss, in the first round, putted brilliantly and led 1 up with a card of 68. Padgham, in the second round, drove and played his irons magnificently. THE IRISH TITLE. At Portrush, Thompson retained the Irish amateur golf title, defeating McLean 5 up and 4 to play.
