TATTERSALL’S CLUB RESULTS. SPORTING BLOOD WINS. SYDNEY, Sept. 15. The Tattcrsall’s Club races at Randwick on Saturday were favoured by a fine, bright day after three days of light rain. Tho course was a trifle holding. Results: TRAMWAY HANDICAP, of £SOO. Seven furlongs.
LOUGIT NEAGH, 8.4 (Shean) 1 KING’S HEAD, 7.7 (Parsons) 2 GAY BLONDE, 8.6, 111) overweight (Tinker) 3
Twenty-one started, including Synagogue and Grand Sport. Lough Neagh unwound a withering run in the straight and won by four lengths, with Gay Blonde a length and a half away third. Dark Sky was fourth and Grand Sport eighth. Synagogue faded at the homo turn, finishing tenth. Silver Ring did not start. Time, 1.26 J. Gay Blende’s debut in Australia was impressive as she had anything hut the best of the running. THE CHELMSFORD STAKES, of £1000; weight-for-age; one mile and a furlong. SYLVANDALE, 9.7 (Pratt) 1 CONTACT, 9.0 (Maher) 2 ROGILLA, 9.8 (D. Munro) 3 Scratched: Topical and Grand Mogul. Three-quarters of a length; a head. Time, 1.54 J. Ilomcr and Latharna were prominent to the home turn. Rogilla and Contact, although badly away, finished brilliantly. Lailiarna did best of the younger liorscs, finishing fourth.

SPORTING BLOOD, 8.9 (D. Munro) ... 1 KAGAL, 6.12 (Duncan) 2 BREAK UP, 8.4 (Preston) 3 Sixteen started, including Thco and Queen Helen. A length and a half; a length and a quarter. Time, 2.8. Sporting Blood finished so determinedly and strongly that he gained hosts of admirers. WELTER HANDICAP, of £3OO. One mile. NARBETHONG, 8.2 (L. J. Ellis) ... 1 GOLDEN GATE, 9.5 (Marsden) ... . 2 SCRATCH MERE SCAR, 9.0 (A. E. Ellis) 3
Eifteon started, including Cherry King, Golden Chance, and Viceroy. Cherry King and Golden Chance were up with the leaders to the turn where Narbcthong came through with a burst of speed and won easily by four lengths, with two lengths between second and third. Cherry King was fourth, Golden Chance eighth and Viceroy last.' Time, 1.41. Now Zealand jockeys rode the first and third placegetters. Tlie jockey, F. Hood, was suspended for three months for continuing in the hurdle race on African after his mount ran off at one of the jumps. Pike, rider of Synagogue, stated that Synagogue did not relish the heavy going and went most unkindly after striking a particularly bad patch.
MOONEK VALLEY RACES. STAKES TO VALIANT CHIEF. MELBOURNE, Sept. 15. The weather was damp for the Moonee Valley races on Saturday. Results; BOOMERANG HURDLE RACE, of £3OO. Two miles and half a furlong. CAPE FAIR, 9.9 (Sullivan) 1 ROB McREID, 9.7 (Meredith) 2 PURVEYOR, 9.11 (Fullarton) "i i" 3 Nino started, including Revision. The race ended sensationally. Martext, who was leading well from Cape Fair, took the wrong turning by continuing along the old course instead of turning into the straight at the homo turn with the result that Cape Fair went on to win narrowly by a length and a half from Rob Mblteid, who hung on tenaciously. There wore two lengths between second and third. Time, Cape Fair shaped particularly well. He was always prominent and jumped excellently. THE MOONEE VALLEY STAKES, of £1025. For threo-yoar-olds. Seven furlongs and a. half. VALIANT CHIEF, 8.9 (Voitre) 1 GARRIO, 8.9 (England) * CARNARVON, 8.9 (Breasley) *
*Dead-heat for second. Eight started. Voitro’s vigorous riding in a desperate fight up the straight with the dead-heaters enabled Valiant Chief to snatch victory by a short head. Garrio was most unlucky as he was badly away, inado up a lot of ground, and finally ran widfc. Time, 1.35 3-4. Autumn Wind was second in the first division of the Corroboreo Maiden Handicap. Dazzling Raid was unplaced in this event. •
MOONEE VALLEY STEEPLECHASE, of £IOOO. About two miles and a half and six furlongs. - CHARACTER, 9.10 (Meagher) 1 WANCONNER, 9.9 (Hynes) 2
MEMBO, 10.7 (ZealJy) 3 Eighteen started, including Makeup and Shatter, both the latter finishing close up, Half a length; two lengths and a half. Time, 5.6, a course record. Metro, Palatinate and North Capo were unplaced in the Budgeree Handicap, which was won by Hyperion. The first division of the Nulla Nulla Welter Handicap was won by Mr W. R. Kernball’s Air Race. Perfect Idea was unplaced.
