THE AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP. CLEVELAND, Sept. 12. Lawson Little reached the semifinals of the American golf championship to-day, deleating William McCullough 5 and 3 and George Voight 4 and 3. Others entering the semi-finals with double victories were Johnny Goodman (Omaha), Walter Emery anil Joseph Lynch. AT CANBERRA. BRITISH WOMEN WIN. CANBERRA, Sept. 13. Tlie British women golfers led the field in the foursome championship of tlie Federal Capital Territory tournament. Despite heavy going and inclement weather, Miss Wade and Miss Anderson finished with a 79 and Mrs Walker and Miss Barton returned a score of 80. The British team reached Sydney tonight. They are spending tlie week-end in the ' Blue Mountains.
