NO POSTPONEMENT.
OF GENERAL ELECTION. (Bv Telegraph—Special to Standard.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 13. “There will be no postponement of the election,” interjected the Prime Minister (Mr Forbes) in clear and definite terms when Mr C. 11. Chapman expressed the hope, during to-day’s debate, in the House of Representatives, that the Government, “which would grasp for any straw,” would not make the Abyssinian dispute an excuse for postponing it again.
