IN NEW SOUTH WALES. SYDNEY, Sept. 11. The New South "Wales Parliament opened to-day with colourful ceremony. The speech of the Governor, Sir A. Hore-Ruthven, outlining the Government’s policy, emphasised that the Ministry, without in any way endangering financial stability, intended to j>ursue a progressive policy ensuring further economic recovery and relief of unemployment. The Ministry anticipated that the Budgetary position would be improved bv £1,500,000 in the coming year. Further reductions in rail freights i<?r primary products would l>e adopted in addition to a reduction in the wages tax.
