Lawson Little, holder of the title, continued his success in the National 'Amateur Gulf Championship, eliminating William Lain (Chicago), 6 and 4, jbut many prominent conten ,sredin 'but many prominent contenders, includig George Dunlap, Max Marstou, Johnny lislier, John Parker and T. A. Torrance, the. English Halker Cup placer, were defeated. Ross Summerville (Canada) defeated Douglas Hill (Cincinnati), 6 and 4, to be the only remaining foreign competitor. VICTORIAN TITLE. MELBOURNE, Sept. 11. In the semi-finals of the Victorian amateur golf championship A _Kmg bent H. Wish art, 2 and 1, and H. L. Williams beat W. Hope at the thirtyseventh. Both winners are left-hand-ers. Williams is the title-holder. BRITISH WOMEN’S TEAM. Received September 12, 12.14 p.m. CANBERRA, Sept. 11. Members of the British women’s golf team filled tliG loading places in tne first round of the Federal Capital Teiritory’s associates championship today. The competition comprises 36 holes of stroke play. Miss A. Anderson did a round of 79, which is the associates’ course record. Miss Pam Barton took 80.
