SPRING BLOOMS

FINE SHOW AT SANDON. (From Our Own Correspondent.) SANDON, Sept. 12. The 24th annual Bulb and Flower Show in aid of the St. Thomas’s Anglican Church was hold yesterday and proved to be an outstanding success. Although it was perhaps a little early for the spring bulbs, those displayed were fine blooms. The miscellaneous section brought forward a large number of competitors, and tho flowers reached a very line standard. Special mention must be made of the violets, of which there were a large number of entries. All the other sections wore well supported, and there were many good entries. The judges were-Flowers, Air F. Alason; decorative, Aiesdamos Billman and Barltrop; domestic, Aire W. J. Phillips; handiwork, Airs C. Davidson. The stewards in charge of the various exhibits were Mcsdames Rowan, J. Bowator, J. Alasters, F. Tostevin, F. Grace, A. T\. Drew, and Misses N., E., and A. Penny, P. and E. Hope, and G. Adams. Tho jumble stall was under the charge of Afesdames W. J. Croucher and W. If. Henson, and the tea committee were Afesdames A. Adams, L. Ellcrni, W. J. Rowan, and Aliss N. Penny. Alc-ssrs F. Read and A. K. Drew were the joint secretaries.

Dancing was held in tho supper room till a late hour to music kindly supplied by Afrs E. N. Butlor.
