GIRLS’ HIGH SCHOOL.
At the monthly meeting of the Girls’ High School Parents’ Association the members present were Mesdames J.. B. Sankey., H. B. lteid, H. Whittaker, C. M. Stagpoole, F. A. Wollerman, D. Heggie, Messrs F. J. Oakley, J. B. Sankey, T. Ingles, C. J. Ball and Colonel J. H. Whyte. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames C. A. L. Boag, J. H. Whyte, Messrs J. Louisson and J. A. Grant (chairman). In the unavoidable absence of Mr Grant, Colonel Whyte was elected to the chair. Mrs F. A. Wollerman was appointed secretary of the ladies’ sub-committee to be set up at the next meeting of the ladies’ sewing bee, to act in connection with competitions for the garden party. The next sewing bee is to be held at the residence of Mrs B. J. Jacobs, Roy Street. All parents and friends interested in making novelties for the forthcoming garden party were invited to attend. A vote of thanks was carried at the conclusion of tho meeting to Colonel Whyte for taking the chair.
