HAUL BY THIEF. JEAVELLERY AVORTH £ISOO. Per Press Association. CHRlSi’CHukch, Sept. 5. The door ot t he Ring House jewellers’ shop in Casliel Street was hurst open last evening and jewellery to the vaiue of £ISOO was stolen with groat daring. The thief carried out Ins raid at 6.50 p.m., shattering the lock until a lack or a blow, aim systematically going through the stock and. selecting the most valuable articles, then making his way at a walkmg pace to Coiombo Street, where all trace of him was lost. . 'the burglar was seen coming out or the shop by a passer-by, who lollowcd hint when he found that the door ot the shop was broken. However, the marauder must have moved quickly after turning the corner into Colombo Street, for when the other mail tried to catch up and keep him in sight lie had rxo success.
