Thorne, when Mi;* Catherine Barrett was tendered a gift afternoon in view of her approaching marriage. competition, “Twisted Birds,” which proved quite interesting, was won by Miss M Hickey, after which a dainty afternoon tea was served bv flic hostess, Mrs Thorne Miss Barrett was the recipient of nianv useful presents and she thanked her friends, lioping at some tune they would bo able to visit, hor at her future home, which is to be in Foxton.
