ISSUE OE SHARES. BROKEN HILL PROPRIETARY CO., LTD. MELBOURNE, Aug. SO. At tlie annual meeting of the' Broken Hill Proprietary Coy., Ltd., the chairman (Mr H. Darling) announced that the board had decided to make an immediate issue to shareholders of 1,493,854 shares of £1 each, equal to one share for each two existing shares. These would be issued at 30s each, payable over 20 months. v The new capital would be used in expanding the company’s productive capacity. 'The next dividend, payable in November, would be at the rato of Is 3d a share, compared with the recent interim dividend of Is a share.
