ASHHURST
(From Our Own Correspondent.) ASIIHURST. Aug. 21. The practice, shoot of the Ashhurst Defence Rifle Club was postponed last week owing to bad weather conditions. A match had been arranged with the Ackautcre Club, to be firod on the local range, and it will now bo held next Saturday, weather permitting, shooting. to commence at 1 o’clock sharp. The Ashhurst team will be chosen from the following: T. Orr, R. A. Jones, J. Scarlo, R. Romlcy, W. G. Romley, S. Brookje, W. N. Brewer, C. Turner, J. McDonell, H. Southce, F. Bassett, H. Harris, C. Ralph, M. Baton, L. Jensen. Three members fired a practice during the week (2 shots at 300yds). The scores were: J. Searle, 29 —31—60; R. A. Jones, 30—30—60; C. Turner, 27—27—54.
