A MAYOR PROSECUTED
ALSATIAN DOG CASE. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Aug. 2. The Mayor (Air Ernest Davis! was prosecuted at the Alagistrate’s Court to-day on charges of owning three Alsatian dogs alleged to be dangerous. Evidence was given by a carrier that, when he was delivering a parcel, three dogs rushed at him and one left teeth marks on a leg. Counsel said the carrier had rereceived only a minor puncture, and two of the dogs had immediately been sent to the dogs’ home. The police said there were still two Alsatians at the Alayor’s residence. The Alagistrate remarked that any person who kept Alsatians ran the risk of their reversion to type. He adjourned the charges till next Friday.
