OBITUARY.

MR GEO. WOODCOCK. Deep regret was felt at the death of Mr George Woodcock, which took place at His daughter’s residence, Kakariki, on Wednesday. For many years Mr Woodcock had resided in Halcombs, where ho owned a bakery, becoming widely known and respected. Horn in England, Mr Woodcock made his home in New Zealand about 23 years ago, finally residing at Halcombe. liis wife predeceased him some time ago. He had not been in good health and a sudden relapse brought about his death. Though of a quiet disposition he had made a circle of friends who will regret his passing. There are left a daughter, Mrs R. L. Fergusson, and one son, Mr N. Woodcock, both of Kakariki, and to them has gone out the sympathy of many friends and acquaintances. The funeral took place at Halcombe yesterday, Rev. Mr Aker, of Halcombe, being the officiating minister. The pull-hearers were Messrs' Laurie, John and Robert Fergusson, J. Blunden, R. Elgar, and N. Adams.
