EXCHEQUER RETURNS.

THE PRESENT POSITION. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, July 16. Exchequer returns show that the total ordinary revenue to date, excluding self-balancing items amounts to £154 731,019, as compared with £150,212,311 at the corresponding date ot last year. . Revenue from Customs and excise duties is greater by £354,900 than for the same period of last year, and is only £500,000 short of the estimated increase for the whole current year ot £4,224,000. The total ordinary expenditure, exclusive of self-balancing items, for the current year to date is £215.624,209, as against £207,111,335 at the corresponding date of 1934.
