REST ROOM AT KIMBOLTON.
Arising out of a request made by the Kimbolton AA’omen’s Institute to tlie monthly meeting of the Kiwitea County Council, yesterday, the council decided to take steps to provide a ladies’ rest room in Kimbolton township. The county clerk (Mr AA’. Hesseltine) said lie had for some time had in view tlie setting aside _ of the two front rooms of tlie council building fronting the main street adjacent to the hotel as a rest room. These rooms were not in use by the council and, being in a central position in the town, they would answer tho purpose admirably. A T ery little alteration would be required, and it would be a simple matter to arrange for a caretaker.
Cl*. AV. Hair, who said he had received verbal requests from the institute in the matter, agreed that Air Hesseltilie’s suggestion would get over the difficulty regarding the rest room perfectly and he know the institute members would appreciate the council’s action. ft was left in the hands‘of Cr. Hair to finalise details in regard to the preparation of the rest room.
