PLANT FOR BLENHEIM. Per Press Association. BLENHEIM, July 17. The Marlborough Power Board has decided to take preliminary steps for raising a loan of £22.000 for the erection of a second stand-by plant on the outskirts of Blenheim, with a view to carrying the load during the dry weather periods at the Maihopai hydroelectric area. , A proposal to link up with tn# Nelson district’s Cobh V alley hydroelectric scheme was rejected on the grounds of the heavy cost.
