(From Our Own Correspondent.) FOXTON, July 15. In a match played on the local links on Saturday afternoon Foxton boat a Palmerston North team by seven games to three. The results were as follows, Foxton players being mentioned first:—L. C. Bryant halved with Walsh; B. Gavin beat Kerr; Jas. Purcell halved with Hume; M. Baird beat French; Jack Purcell beat G. Tremaine; R Robinson beat Marquis; B. Pedersen beat Mcl’hee; Collins lost to B. Tremaine; C. W. Pedersen beat Kells; R. Pedersen lost to Bailey. In the four-ball matches Foxton won four and Palmerston North three, tho results beingßryant and Gavin beat Walsh and Kerr; Jas. Purcell and Baird lost to Humo and French; Jack Purcell and Robinson beat G. Tremaine and Marquis; B. Pedersen and Collins beat McFhce and B. Tremaine; C. W. Pedersen and R. Pedersen beat Kells and Bailey.
