THE MAORI TEAM.
RECOVERY FROM ILLNESS. Received Julv 16, 1f.50 a.m. BRISBANE, July 10. The Maoris had all their men out of hospital last night, but almost immediately Mellish developed influenza and was sent to bed. G. Harrison will take his place against Toowoomba to-morrow. The team spent the morning in the sunshine, playing tennis, the convalescents being- as happy as sand boys. The Toowoomba team is as follows: Full-back: Gartlie; three-quarters, Meibusch, Hayes, Thorne, McDonald; live-eighth, Ingram ; half, W. Buss ; forwards, Newman, Lavers, Hogg, Kelly ; Browne, Ritter, Green, and Birmingham. The Maoris will motor 100 miles to Toowoomba this afternoon. Motua is expected to be fit for the games in New South Wales.
