“ONLY ONE CODE.”

RUGBY LEAGUE AIM. WHANGAREI, June 24. There is no mystery about the tour of New Zealand by Mr H. R. Miller, secretary of the N.S.W. Rugby League, and also secretary of the Australian Board of Control. Mr Miller was in Whangarei on Saturday with Mr E. Stallworthy, Northland’s representative on the Auckland parent boy, to be present at the opening of Jubilee Park, the new playing area acquired by the Whangarei League interests. Mr Miller made no secret about the objects of his visit. Primarily Mr Miller’s intention is to investigate the possibility of arranging tours between Australia and New Zealand. The intention was not to have spasmodic visits, but regular periodic tours. A further object, he said, was to endeavour to set up an Australasian Board of Control, with the ultimate object “that only one code of football would be played in Australasia, and that Rugby League.” .
