(From Our Own Correspondent.) OPIKI, Juno 24. The Opiki Football Club held a successful euchre and dance in the hall on' Friday night. Air S. Claridge was ALC. for the dancing and Air Yule AI.C. in the card room. Airs H. Seifert won the ladies’ euchre prize and Airs Claridge tho ladies’ consolation; Air Giles the men’s prize and Mr Henderson the consolation prize. A lucky spot foxtrot was won by Atiss R. Ellery and Air A. Hodgson. Among those present wore: Alesdames S. Young, W. Claridge, E. Yule. G. Allwright. G. (D. Yule, Henderson, H. Seifort, Ellery, Aliers, Alisses Richards, in floral crepe; D. Yule, green taffeta: Foster, red; R. Ellery, blue laco; C. Seifert, rose pink georgette; Irwin, black satin; J. Allwright, check taffeta; AI. Ellery, rose pink; H. Ferris, blue, Henderson, green; R. Young, pink; AT. Johnson, lavender; K. Johnson, blue satin.
The ladies’ basketball team played the Otaki team on Saturday at Levin, in their fourth association match oi tho season. The match ended; Otaki, 11 goals; Opiki, 6.
