CRASH INTO CREEK.

CAR PASSENGER KILLED

AUCKLAND, June 23. A motor-car driven by Mr Charles Johns, of Mount Eden, crashed into the railings of a bridge over the Mangaa ara Stream at Hoe-o-Tainui this morning, the car falling into the creek feel ow.

Mr Charles Hunt, of Valley Road, Mount Eden, who was in the back seat, was unable to get out and was drowned. Mr Johns and Mr Alfred Hunt, a brother of deceased, managed to extricate themselves and summoned help. They later recovered the body of Mr Charles Hunt. Deceased was proceeding on a visit to a son who is a farmer at Ngongotaba, near Rotorua.
