LONDONER’S RECORD. In 52 years there must have been well over 250,000 policemen’s black notebooks filled up in London, hut the number of Mr F. Coppock’s cab lias never figured in any of them. Mr Coppock is claimed to be London’s safest taxi driver. He recently celebrated his fifty-second year of driving passengers . safety around London’s streets, and lias never had a mishap. Mr Coppock first became a “street ferryman” at the age of 19. He then drove a hansom cab, and kept at it for 27 years. Then in 1910 he took over a taxi. And a taxi driver he has been ever since. It is claimed for Mr Coppock that he has been driving so long ho knows how to deal with every emergency. He can even, it is said, anticipate what a cycling errand boy is going to do.
