Found guilty by a court-martial of having accepted a £SOO loan from a lobbyist interested in securing an army contract, Colonel Alexander AVilliams lias boon dismissed from the army. He was also lound guilty of giving false evidence over the contract. Colonel AVilliams is a veteran of two wars, and has been 40 years in the army. This is tlie first court-martial .since General Mitchell, head of the Air Force, was stripped of all rank for insubardination and resigned ten years ago... Williams was decorated for bravery in the Spanish-American AA’ar, and again for meritorious service as chief quartermaster for the American Army in France during the Great AA’ar.
